Endlessly Free

NDT1 meets PH6.6

In September, when the theatres in the Netherlands started to do some performances again, my hubby and I went to see Endlessly Free, a performance of the Nederland Dans Theater (NDT 1).

My favourite part was at the end, a piece called SOON, choreographed by Medhi Walerski. The four dancers wear blue suits, the stage is decorated with a giant golden clock, and they dance to a song by Benjamin Clementine called “Pound Sterling”.

I read the description of the piece but to be honest, I can’t really explain it back, I’m not good with that kind of arty language. I just closed my eyes, listened to the song, and thought about the performance, what stuck with me from it.

It felt like I could see a lot of moths swirling around a light and lot of blue.

This painting is a bit unusual for me. It doesn’t have a story, there’s not really an explanation.

Just look at it and see what you feel. Maybe you like it, maybe you don’t. I’m not sure even sure myself!

BEHIND THE SCENES...

Something a bit old, but the ideas are still new
