Sun dance

It's a marvellous day for a sun dance

Don’t you love days when the weather is sunny, there’s a gentle wind, and the temperature is delightfully just-so?

Such days remind me of sitting in a lounge chair in our San Diego yard. My eyes are half open, the afternoon sun is angled towards the horizon and shines right into my cheek. Occasionally I look up to the sky and watch a few fluffy clouds. Trees cast a shadow against the wall, branches swaying in the breeze. I’m not waiting for anything and not expecting anything.

Such a scene only exists at a certain moment, and 30 minutes later it will be gone. If you’re too busy, you will miss it. If your mind is elsewhere, you will not appreciate it.

There are 365 days in the year, if just one day is like that, if I can experience such a priceless moment, that’s enough for me.

It reminds me to live, and to constantly experience. It’s so good to be alive!
