Somewhere only we know

I’ve been listening to Renée Dominique’s version of “Somewhere only we know” on repeat in the last couple of weeks.

Something about the idea that there’s a special place, a secret place, really touched me, and I began to think about what that place might look like for me.

It’s summer right now (even though the weather here is a little bit hit-and-miss), so I thought of a hidden corner of my imaginary dream home, in a quiet and secluded garden, where you can decorate the trees with festoon lights, the moon shines through the branches, and you settle down for a quiet dinner with a bottle of wine or two. It’s a place where my husband and I would live together happily ever after. The end.

No, not the end, because it’s all imaginary, we still have to find such a place!
