The fight for Christmas

For my friends at Title Boxing North Park

When we had just moved to San Diego, going to the gym was a way to get out of the house, away from the painting table. I was lucky enough to discover Title Boxing in North Park. It was more than just a good workout, losing some pounds of fat and gaining some muscle in return. I've met some really cool people there! Some of my favorite coaches, like Ashley and Jason, have moved on, others continue to torture me four times a week. Yes, I'm talking about you, Josalle! :-)

So when Title Boxing asked me if I wanted to make a chalkboard drawing for the Christmas season, I of course said yes immediately. I quickly settled on an idea: boxing reindeer. It seemed a good combination of the boxing club and the holiday season.

My first attempt at drawing them was a bit so-so, and then I remembered my boxing lessons. That reindeer on the right throws a pretty mean left hook, don't you think?

BEHIND THE SCENES...

THIS IS WHAT THIS PAINTING COULD LOOK LIKE ON YOUR WALL

Something a bit old, but the ideas are still new
