A dams(n) good place

Our first discovery on Adams Avenue

Something that my husband and I liked from the start about our neighbourhood is that it’s walkable. Strolling along Adams Avenue is something that we do very regularly.

In fact, it’s something that we did even before moving here.

It’s true! We were house hunting in San Diego and after looking at the house where we live now, we told our real estate agent that she didn’t have to take us back to the hotel, but that we would stay and take a little walk around the neighbourhood. This building, between 34th Street and Hawley Boulevard, is where we stopped at the Blind Lady Ale House.

We’ve been back at the Blind Lady’s many times, and walked past the building even more often. There’s always a good vibe coming out of the Rosie O’Gradie’s on the left corner, and we keep telling each other that we really should go there for one of their live music nights. In the same building, around the corner with an entrance on 34th Street, is a little wine bar that we also still have to check out.

In other words, it’s one big playground with music and entertainment, which makes it a damn(s) good place!

Something a bit old, but the ideas are still new
